Meet the Artist
I’m Courtney Rose, an Australian artist creating original paintings inspired by mythology, folklore, fantasy literature, nature, and the quiet beauty of imagined worlds.
I’ve always been drawn to stories that linger long after the final page. The kind where ancient dragons sleep beneath flowering trees, forgotten castles disappear beneath ivy, enchanted forests hide impossible secrets, and every winding path promises another adventure.
Those stories have shaped not only what I paint, but how I see the world.
Every piece I create begins with a feeling, a place, or a story I can’t stop thinking about. My hope is that each painting invites you to slow down, look a little closer, and step into a world where imagination and reality quietly meet.
Everything you see here is created by me in my Western Australian studio; from the first sketch and colour study to the final brushstroke, varnish, print, packaging, and handwritten thank-you.

The Process
Gathering wonder
Every painting begins with a story
I’m constantly collecting ideas from the world around me; quiet gardens, ancient trees, forgotten pathways, changing light, mythology, folklore, and the landscapes that spark my imagination.
Sometimes it’s a place exactly as it is. Other times it’s only the beginning of a story. A hidden bridge becomes the entrance to an enchanted forest. A peaceful pond becomes the setting for dragons, foxes, or forgotten ruins.
The worlds I paint often begin with moments like these.
For me, every painting starts with a sense of wonder.
At the easel
Where imagination comes to life
Once the vision is clear, the painting begins.
Working primarily in professional acrylics and oils, I slowly build each piece through layers of colour, light, texture, and atmosphere. Every decision, from composition to the smallest details, is carefully considered to create artwork that feels immersive, timeless, and rich with story.
Each original painting is created entirely by hand in my Western Australian studio.

When a painting is complete, it’s carefully finished, protected, and prepared for its journey.
Original artworks and fine art prints are packaged with the same attention to detail that goes into creating them, ensuring they arrive safely and beautifully presented. Every order is packed by hand in my studio, because I believe the experience of collecting art should feel just as special as the artwork itself.
